Update! The name Seaward ESCAPE is in 1st place. The guy in 2nd place is giving me the gears for promoting my suggestion. What's wrong with community and networking? Is the purpose of the contest not to market and promote a new kayak? Oh, I just needed to rant for a second. Rant over.

The kayak is officailly named the Seaward Escape. Unfortunately, I was not the first person to submit that name to the contest and so Joanne won a great kayak and tons of cool gear. Congrats to Joanne. Thanks to everyone who helped me and promoted my competition. It was tons of fun and really cool to experience the power of the internet and social media.

I think they should give you a 50% discount on one or SOMETHING! I cry "foul!" You should get a cool paddle out of it at least.

Oh, well. At least you know how to pick a good name for a kayak.
