What is the most abundant type of kayaker? Rapid-runners? Touring-style paddlers? People who do both?

What is the largest single type of kayak paddler?

I'm a slower river rat paddler myself. I'd guess rec (?, river) kayaks are manufactured the most because of the rental industry and local nature of in-landers.
