We're going to be very careful with this thread... Rules are easily within reach.

I didn't ask this in the fishing angler's section because I know those guys have live wells full of beer, and more cupholders than lures. haha, I've not participated in drinking on the water very much at all. I've had a couple out there with the guys when they're fishing on calm lakes but normally I'm busy getting to new places. And usually on camping trips we don't have enough room for beer, or ways to keep it cold.

Do you all enjoy a glass of wine or a cold warm beer while out on a calm paddle?

Perhaps on a meal break or once I've set camp. Not while I'm paddling...usually.

Kind of like a little pontoon set up for my head.

Perfect!

Not sure how this ritual started, but we usually take sub sandwiches, a lot of water, and 2 cans of beer. Kind of a celebration after the paddle thing. Never take anymore, as we usually have a 45 min. drive to get home

Yep, sometimes take one of those lunchpail-sized soft-sided coolers with an ice pack, a Wawa sub and a few beers. We do something called a "river sit" where on a hot summer day, we find a class I rapid where you can sit below the ledge with the water pouring over your back, relax and have a cold one!

Found a six-pack of this tonight in my local grocer's store. Had it with pizza.

Not quite kayaker's brew, but it'll do!

That, and the bare minimum amount of alcohol required to kill the bacteria in the bilge water.
