This has been quite the hot topic in the local kayaking clubs, as many are members and store their boats there year-round... the current lease is on shaky ground and this is part of a bigger plan to redevelop the NPS-controlled waterfront in that area. There will be some more legal wrangling, should be interesting to see how it turns out...
